Meet Robbert

On March 1st 2019 Appsolutely welcomed a new member to the family: meet Robbert van Schuylenburg! Robbert joined our team as Salesforce Consultant. He previously lived and worked abroad, where he pitched a Salesforce platform to a medical non-profit organization. In the following blog Robbert will introduce himself and explain his goals at Appsolutely.

Who is Robbert van Schuylenburg

“I am 30 years old and married for one and a half year now. Born in Den Haag, raised in Capelle aan den IJssel. The past three and a half years I lived and worked abroad in three different countries. In Hawaii (USA), New Zealand and Papua New Guinea I worked for a Christian non-profit organization that delivers medical help and supplies to remote regions in Papua New Guinea. I mostly worked in our offices in Kona, Hawaii and in Tauranga, New Zealand as a strategic analyst. In my role I pitched and implemented the Salesforce platform to manage volunteer processes, student applications, information on patient treatments and donations. In Papua New Guinea I worked on the medical ships where I managed teams of volunteers from several nationalities.

What defines you as a professional?

“In my previous job I worked as an Oracle eBS consultant specialized in financial modules. With this background I obtained the skill to adopt new software platforms like Salesforce rather quickly. Moreover, I worked as a freelance consultant in New Zealand. These jobs all taught me to think outside the box and be flexible in my work ethic. Even when I don’t know how to do something in the first place, I will be able figure it out and get things done.”

How do you contribute to Appsolutely and our clients?

“Using my flexible mind-set, I want to solve the business needs of our clients. Together we define the user story: what are the business needs? And what are the client’s acceptance criteria? Together we design a solution that passes these requirements.”

What’s your philosophy in working with Appsolutely?

“I think the system should fit the organization, not the other way around. If you don’t keep that in mind, platform adaptation backfires. Acceptation and adoption by users is the most important aspect when pitching a new platform. Appsolutely and I are on the same page regarding this point of view. With that philosophy, I’d like to help our clients fill in their needs.”

“Please contact me if you would like to discuss Salesforce advantages, or challenges you face. I’m looking forward to assisting you in your Salesforce journey!”
