Aragon Kuster is one of our youngest developers. He moved from the South of France to the Netherlands, for an internship with Appsolutely and then decided to continue learning and growing with us. He also plans to use this opportunity, and being part of a diverse international team, to learn about other cultures. Following is the conversation we had with him.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
My name is Aragon Kuster. I am 19 and I come from Saint Cannat, a little town near Marseille in France. I grew up and went to school there as well. In high school, I studied sciences and later, computer science at the university. Following that, I got an opportunity to intern with Appsolutely for 3 months and then I received an offer to work with them as an employee. Which is how I landed here.
What will you be doing at Appsolutely?
I have joined as a developer and would be involved in customer projects, giving me an opportunity to learn more about the busines side of implementations. I know that I will be working on integrating PROVAR test software into our (and customers’) pipeline. Along with it I will also be contributing to the development of our own Salesforce solutions.
Why did you choose Appsolutely?
I picked Appsolutely as a place to do my internship since it was an opportunity to work in another country and with a multicultural team. However during my 3 months here, I had an incredible time. I discovered new aspects to my personal as well as professional self. I wanted to work within the Salesforce environment. But going beyond that, people here are nice and helpful and the work atmosphere is great. There’s a team spirit involved in getting things done, which is such a welcome change from my university experience. There’s so much to learn and imbibe. When the contract was offered to me, it was a 100% YES!

What challenges and goals do you see for yourself?
I have to say I have not set up very specific goals yet. I want to discover more about Salesforce. Naturally, I aim to keep adding knowledge and certifications to further my skills. Being a very easygoing person I will take each day as it comes and keep improving.
How would you describe yourself?
As I mentioned earlier, I am easygoing. The word I would use for myself is chill. I am a social person, usually a happy one. You would find me smiling quite often. Though I’d like to add that while I may be laid back but I can also be quite energetic.
What are your interests, outside of work?
I am into sports. I practiced a lot of team sports during my childhood - basketball, volleyball, football, handball – you name it. I also enjoy extreme sports, mainly sky diving. Another one is scuba diving. On a more personal note, I share a great relationship with my family and we are all very fond of dogs. I like hanging out with people, maybe grabbing a beer together. For me, meeting new people is quite interesting. It gives you an opportunity to learn from other cultures and I think the Netherlands is a great place to do that!
